Artiste

…. in her artist’s loft
under a roof of skylights,

sunrise
their only witness,

 they took of their colours,
one by one,

 the black of unfathomable eyes,
the dimpling white of newborne skin
the pink of love’s holy blush,

 their masks of tragedy,
quickly forgotten
in tempestuous smiles…

 and here they remained
naked
in the colour of Life.

what happened?

i copied and pasted it from word doc... this is the way it's supposed to look like ... CENTERED and paragraphed. Artiste …. in her artist’s loft under a roof of skylights, sunrise their only witness, they took of their colours, one by one, the black of unfathomable eyes, the dimpling white of newborne skin the pink of love’s holy blush, their masks of tragedy, quickly forgotten in tempestuous smiles… and here they remained naked in the colour of Life.

Thank you so very

Thank you so very much....Janice... Peter....Patricia... Richard. I feel sometimes I will explode if I don't write, and folks won't read... It's not an ego-thing... it's a recent gift of the universe, when I let go of all obstacles to allowing the creative energy to flow through me. Perhaps I need validation that it isn't all in my head... lol. Thank you all once again, I'm still never sure which poems will hit a chord with which reader. Sort of makes it fun and keeps me motivated to post. ~Anna
