My Poem Of Love For You

May you find the woman who weeps with love for you
as I do
if we could but explore infinitude
in the dark pools of our eyes,
cross unafraid, these
castle moats filled with every dark creature of solitude,

May you find the lover you long for
as near as your next breath,
as close as the moment you turn around,
so preciously filled of her
like Mary with Child,
Gabriel's bright splendor
a bright shining star on any December night,
Ave Maria in the passageways like tunnels
of freedom,

May the anchors of time
set your ship aflame,
burn through
the longings of Aurora Borealis in a crystal night
may you melt in each other's graces--
passions never undone, never dry enough
to need even the memory of scented kindling wood,

May you walk in the sunrise of the one who steals your heart
and returns to you in all the worlds
you open to her heart of
hearts the roar of the lion, the bleat of a lamb,
a handful of desire emptied into a breaking Poem,
conjuring spirits across the moors of a fertile Indus
Valley,

May you walk in moonlight
and descend with the frost and glaze of
10000 silver linings, behind the rosewood door
carved by The Benevolent Artist , may the words
of your umblemished Love be inscribed in gold,

May your Beloved find her way back to you,
may She be here now with open arms.

Parting is such sweet sorrow

Anna, you express the pathos of a love that has run its cycle so well here. All those fond wishes for the other person's happiness that make some kind of effusive but also cathartic goobye. And yet the lifeline so deliberately placed at the end in a vague attempt to soften the blow....but in truth, a beloved can never return to a love that has finished, it would only ever be a half-love compared with the original. A mere reflection in the mirror of the past and without a future. Keith

Well, it seems you might be

Well, it seems you might be wrong here... from what I heard... The Beloved I was referring to is she who never leaves, the Goddess of Love herself. Faces change... but Love is Love. Thanks for commenting... no one else has commented on anything I have written. Since this is a site for comments... and in so...interactions...I wonder about my continued participation. Yesterday was a difficult day. The anniversary of a dearest friend's sudden death; my loss of Michael almost choked me before I went to sleep. I must have wept gallons of tears... And I sleep alone. ~Anna

o my... that is the highest praise a poet can conceive. Thank you. Glad you stayed and there are excellent poets here... Some of my poems i posted are not there... for a while i had 3 alias and some i think were lost in translation ;-) i'll have to ask the powers that be where they might be... in some dingy dank poet prison? ~a
