It is possible

Ronda. Even when I was head deep in my battle versus cancer the one thing which kept me alive was being able to smile at the pain! Not always possible, at times I was pushed into a corner which became very dark. During these times my inner smile was locked away! Practise each day, fail each day, I do;but I refuse to lie down. Sorry Ronda,I was on a roll. Lenny "in the Zen moment"

Roll on, friend

Obviously, I was in the throes of one of my own darker moments when I commented on this piece last night. Your battle has been much more difficult and, I am sure, terrible than mine. The fact that you were able to smile through any of it is a testament to your strength and personality, Lenny. So you get on that roll any time you want; you've deserved it! Best, Ronda

Ronda

you must never belittle your own battles, as we live our lives according to our abilities. Your suffering is as true and deep as that of mine, experience teaches us how to be. No right way or wrong way, just to be. When I was told I had bowel cancer I simply smiled at my doctor, he was flustered!!! However, my brother broke down, and I had to reassure him all would be as t should be. We had last our Father to lung cancer in 2001,and here we were in 2003 with my turn! A life saving operation is why I m here, plus my daughters love; through my cancer I eventually met my Nicky, an angel, and we married!! So cancer led me to a better life! Ronda, I rolled again!!! You made me smile. :) Reminding me of what I have been through to get where I am now. You're right. Every tear was worth the smile that shines beyond them. Thank you for sharing your story. Ronda

nice

sentiment, but the ease with which you write it so neatly and effectively is does not coincide with actually practicing it, i don't think--this is the goal though on any spiritual path. neat job
