She Has Been Contained

She Has Been Contained   A mother I am, love my kids  A wife I am, unappreciated No life to call my own Lost   The woman in me has been lost Trapped inside, the woman, I have become Fighting for release Entrap

In dense smoke, I am suffocating
from the controlling

That is slowly taking my life Dying   Tears are just rain shower You wait for its ending To continue this weary path Crying   Love you dangle before me Like steak to a starving dog That cannot reach Mercy

This is sad

I like this, however it is quite sad. Title option : I just kept thinking "contained" Love it, Mark

Barbara

The lines that stand out the most for me are: Love you dangle before me Like steak to a starving dog But the whole poem is excellent and gets your message across. I like Mark's title suggestion, too. Always, Cat
