Little Did I Know
Little did I know,
that when we met
we'd share so many joys,
embarrass one another with our giddiness,
and laugh out loud
even when it was innappropriate;
but, we did.
Little did I know,
that I'd feel comfortable enough
to assume you'd know what I meant,
whenever I was talking,
about whatever I was talking about,
and that you'd understand and tolerate me;
but, you did.
And little did I know,
that after all was said and done,
we'd allow enough space for each other to grow,
co-exist easily in the same realm,
and share the possibilities taunting us, in our tomorrows.
But, for now...we've accepted each other today,
and I'm so glad we did.
that when we met
we'd share so many joys,
embarrass one another with our giddiness,
and laugh out loud
even when it was innappropriate;
but, we did.
Little did I know,
that I'd feel comfortable enough
to assume you'd know what I meant,
whenever I was talking,
about whatever I was talking about,
and that you'd understand and tolerate me;
but, you did.
And little did I know,
that after all was said and done,
we'd allow enough space for each other to grow,
co-exist easily in the same realm,
and share the possibilities taunting us, in our tomorrows.
But, for now...we've accepted each other today,
and I'm so glad we did.
