Live In The Present

This one hit a chord for me, I am forever telling the grandchildren to enjoy each moment, each day and forget yesterday and don't look at tomorrow, for it is not hear yet! I enjoyed your poem immensely thanks for sharing

Live in the Present

Thank you Janice for your comments. Yes, I believe it is important to live in the present for yesterday is gone and there is nothing you can do about it and don't rely on tomorrow without first preparing for today. Thank you for reading.

encouragement

How could anyone refuse an invitation to unburden themselves the only suggestion I might make is to not use the contraction but IT IS in it's full form this seems to reflect the quality of your poem more Chrys

Live in the Present

Thank you Chrys. I like your suggestion but I just now revised it on this page but then it wouldn't take the change. I'll have to go back to my profile and see if I can change it there---looks like they "charge" you a day for a changes?

Great Message

Yes, we should embrace the music of the moment instead of replaying the same dreary sad song again and again, but you know how those songs in minor keys stick themselves to you as if you are metal and they are magnetic - they'll even pull you if you are not careful. But it is pointless to weep in the face of open arms, a smile, a kiss - better to reach out and let a new song fill your heart. Good job with this poem - I didn't notice anything I would change. Sincerely, Amara

Great Message

Thank you Amara. The poem was written about someone who was ill---and ready to give up life and had nothing left in her but to complained about it all.

Live in the present

Smiles:) Barbara Living in the present is all we can do looking to the past for what no longer exist is a waste of time and energy. Stuck is what it is. Your poem a welcoming invitation. Hope in God is what will keep sane. Great, wonderful words of encouragement. Well written piece.
