report of an unprompted outburst at wretched news of the death of a friend in a faraway state

[c]hawing the cud of
griefe and inward paine.

                       ---Spenser

"at two years past
I saw her last.

now Dana's dead,"
I say with dread,

appalled, aghast,
these eyes rimmed red;

"her time has passed,
damned truth! alas!"

So sorry for your loss

It seems I never find any fault with your poems, and I'm not going to start making up phantom problems. I really like the way you write and how you preface your poem with a slice of wit, or a bit of another's work. I am sorry for your loss... Always, Cat

I agree...

....with kitty Cat - you write some fabulous work. Hope you're doing better, Chuck. ~Lynn (Jess K.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ~ "Bush is listening.... use big words!" ~ "Your inferiority complex is better than mine..."
