Exhale The Ocean

Exhale the Ocean

Your infinite cerulean waters
Took my breathe away, and
Your sandy beaches tranquil my feet
And tickled my toes

The night air's soothing winds
Embraced my cool skin as I
Watched the waters meet the heavens
Touching the starry skies shining bright

With my arms extended, I inhale the ocean
Under the twilight along the water's edge
Closing my eyes, I consider
The world I hate, its wicked games
To make me stagger

Into the ripple my thoughts released
Exhale the ocean

Barbara,

the title alone is genius! Very imaginative and wonderful imagery in the whole piece. One tiny suggestion: l.5: the night air-> the night air´s? What do you think? Yours, ~Nina

when I originally wrote this I was depress about something or another and needed a channel to released the negatives force in me. Since I couldn't get to the beach i put myself there in this poem and release my anger to ripple. Thanks glad you like the title the poem. I made the change. appreciate the suggestion ~~~~~~~~~ Be whoever you are At all times, and Remember that Because of this, people will Always Respect, and Admire you ©2008Leonard Respectfully Yours, Barbara
