Most of Us Belong to That Other Group

Most of us belong to that other group,
the dreamless wanderers,
converging under protest songs and patriot games,
fevers blistering tongues,

scattered
to the four corners of the earth,
we are genderless misfits
whose only earthly prize
is the will to speak of the truth,
"To thine own self be true."
our mantra,

Shakespearean players
preach to an empty choir,
we are Poets and desperados
of no unique design
no great significance

but if you listen very carefully,
you'll hear our thoughts
inside your heart of hearts

and you'll weep with the best of us.

I'm done

Good poem take me off your buddy list with these puzzles only an college graduate could understand.I'm no one I don't even exist what I wrote before don't take serious cause nobody is nothing. That is who I would be if I were something but I ain't.I'm drowning in a pool I thought was a lake and no one can save that guy cause it's three hours too late. It's fate so be mad cause it's only an attitude,Forget me I'm just showing gratitude.

Thanks or reading Lacy and

Thanks or reading Lacy and Rolwright. Even saying we're a pacifist is being active.. We contribute to its energy, imho. R... I'm not a college graduate, life took me in different directions. Financially I would be well-off had I, but who know who I'd be.... Love, ~a p.s. and once you're on my buddy list...you can never leave. lol and I can't get on my Anna Ruiz identity to remember who was who on that buddy list.

That other group is growing

by the day, leastways in the form of peace activists. Your writing and this poem very much enjoyed, thank you for posting it. From Pleides who lives in Nuclear Free New Zealand.
