Pretty things of the heart

Pretty things of the heart

Wife of his youth
young and in love
starry eyes first love song

Her mirth dainty ways
little imperfection
he finds her special

His jokes ways
would not trade
 for million bucks

A dash for the door
in his arm
miss you kisses'

Hot dinner
made with love
his heart rejoice

Love between the sheets
two are as one
honeymoon bliss

It's so nice

to read a poem like this Barbara. It uplifts the spirits and restores faith in that special human activity known as first love. I have just one comment to make, and it could be just that the language you use isn't familiar to me....these lines His jokes ways would not trade for million bucks In my head I want to read it like this.... His joking ways would not trade for a million bucks that being said it is your poem so ignore this if not appropriate. Thanks for posting....it made a gloomy rainy day here seem bright! Pleides
