Common Intention

A smile hereA hello thereSimple amity knocks the doorOr romance to share His eyes praise                    her pretty faceYet, another game,                     the mind plays
The crow inside his brain crows,"She's an apple good to devour"
You shouldn't blame himShouldn't call him namesIt's a common weaknessCommon to most males When one very direct      would get to the point,        this one takes the long routewith his heart on a plateSugar coated bitter lies, advises and aids             offered to the naive lass     in syrupy ways. All tricks played with         the common aim in mindJust to reach the finish lineall in good time

Hi Nilmini...

Yes, us men-folk are terrible.. we always like to see at least a hint of a chance.. but then we get old and mostly safe.. liked the content.. you said it without a lot of anger. The crow inside his brain crows she's an apple good to devour. great line. Richard

hehehe. Great poem,

hehehe. Great poem, Nilmini, it's not easy speaking the truth from both sides. ;-) I agree with Richard's assessment of your delicious line. Wish I would have written it! ~a

Richard & Kailashana,

You two are such cool guys who could laugh off with the person laughing at you! It's called maturity! ha ha ha I've just spoken about a raw truth, which you wouldn't realise until you mature and for which you will cry if you are a victim, until you realise the truth. Then you can talk without anger. Thanks so much for commenting, I enjoyed them more than the writing of the poem. Cheers! Nilmini

I like it very much. 'Sugar coated lies' is my favorite bit. Also, how you continued the metaphor with 'syrupy ways' was quite smart. Have a nice day! Goatman
