Prelude to a Battle of Wits

The question that must toddle through
Your mind before we start this war
Is, "What, exactly, will you do"
"To settle or increase the score?"

Will you pursue and quest for rhyme?
Will you use words that stun the soul?
Will you evoke great thoughts sublime?
Is victory your final goal?

These small requests I make with care
Though honestly I would be charmed.
This could be such a poor affair
Should my opponent be unarmed.

Thanks for the spot

If I ever learn to spell, well, the world will end the next day. Not to worry, based on past performance, there is no immediate danger. --Jonathan Annoying the world, one person at a time (Group discounts available)

I would break the rules

And then pretend I was not doing so but that your perception of my rule breaking was a result of your misunderstanding of the rules. --Jonathan Annoying the world, one person at a time (Group discounts available)

True wit without arrogance

True wit without arrogance is not true wit, now is it? Nicely said. Alobar (Just my two cents, spend them on gum if you wish.)
