Raven-fall
Raven-fall
Soon enough...
I see them,
The fly-away tendrils
Of shadow-creepers,
Curling out
Of the dusky, graying
Corners to sweep
The edges of my
Murky visions.
Curling, smoke-puffed
Pinions of night wings
Pressing by...
Closing my tired eyes,
Giving in to the darkness,
I see them more clearly,
As fearlessly they fly
Against the paper
Thin lids of flesh,
In the shade
Of the shadow,
Glancing over me,
Each alive...
With a secret life
Of their own!
