What to Do With An Explosion of Craft Supplies Dumped Behind A Pre-School

happy little world dyed neon green
how I want to sprinkle it with glitter
propel it on its way
with one of those energy drinks
as a going away present
then it will continue to be happy
even though it has no concept
that its entire fate depends on me...
unless there is something
out there that I failed to notice
I sincerely believe it will be safe
safe from colliding with large
goobers of phlegm
from the noses of behemoths
the ones you see in comics

the happy unknowing world  gains distance
from my hand, sticky with creativity
how will I feel once it is beyond retrieval?
should I get a Labrador to play with now?
I could teach him to fetch the world...
he would slobber all over the it
as he places it at my feet to throw it again
because he knows it entertains me
Yea! thats it if I get a Labrador....
that would allow me to toss it more often
faithfully he will bring it back each time
dropping it in front of me for another round
I think I should get a black Labrador
to fetch my happy little green neon dyed
sprinkled with  glitter world

This made me smile - if it

This made me smile - if it wasnt for the title I would be wondering if this world was real or fake - it could easily read like a case for environmental protection - I hope that made sense. I like the idea of the labrador and the energy drinks! Nice work Kaz It's impossible to smile on the outside without feeling better on the inside.

Well if gods made the world

would they be adult gods or children gods.Interesting you mention the environment,I think the craft project was geography based.mixed with dirt from being spilled on the way to a dumpster. A guy was playing fetch with a golden retriever. What a mess. This is a sample of how my daydreams over lap my waking conciousness. The chat with Teresa tuned me in to recalling part of my daydreams difficult to do...Shel Silverstein it is said would write on his arm, sleeves,or even table cloths at resturants. In ink, dabbler

This is cool

and would the ball be the size of a baseball or a basketball or even a marble "just because it's important doesn't mean it has to be big" ( MIB ) lol I was noticing in your second line up there that you want to sprinkle it in glitter as opposed to with glitter. I think UR right but I don't think I could recall a daydream unless thoughts in images be considered day dreams but then I doubt that. Labs are cool :) Mark

this is

really a sensory dose of poesy you've got here. glittering neon, the naturally imaginative self centeredness of the poet given free reign, ("even though it has no concept that its entire fate depends on me…": i feel that way all the time, and have to snap myself out of it constantly), and the labrador dancing amidst the creative play every writer must achieve. i envy you, and your free, untrammelled state of mind. you are unfettered by false ideals or thoughts, and that is precisely what poetry needs. great, fun work.
