Tears and a thorn

Tears and   thorn

My eyes are shedding tears
to expose the pain of my heart
That pain hinders my glee and
it apposes my routine walks
The sun and a new rose flower
seem to be dull  and pale
The sky and earth are not in usal gay
cause this poet's pain
My hand and fingers deny to write,
though a poem is bursting to come out
The east and west  are not clear
cause of my wague vision of tears
Sweets have lost it's taste and
my tongue too have forget it's ............
All these have happened
cause i have beaten my son
It is a thorn pinches my heart  and
that blood drops write these  lines

Language needs work, but there's a poem here

Be prepared. You will find that many Americans will reprove you for the act, ignoring your contrition and other costs of that act. If you're lucky, the meddling won't go on long. The Brits? I can't speak for them. Their quaint native folkways elude me, sometimes. But not me. I've swatted my kids--and, yes, it really does mess up your whole day and steals your sleep, even when you know you were right. Just a guess: was this a translation of a poem you wrote in . . . um, er, another language?

I have never struck a child, Shakthee,

but can imagine the remorse. Beware Skumps comments on language, I have read your work long enough to know that you speak Indian English which is no less correct the English, Irish, Scottish or Australian English, and better than most American English. Your poetry is always profoundly passionate and effective, we have had differences, even fights, but always respect you. Skump, check out some of Sakthees back catalogue on this site. He is an important and accomplished poet. cheers, Jess
