Baskets of Golden Moments
There was way too much sunshine on this fine day.
I've really nothing against the perpetual joy that the day brings,
maybe, my argument is within.
Truth be told, there were too many shadows
dancing in the twilight hours for me, last night also.
Come to think of it, in the solitude of my inner thoughts,
the chill from the breeze called "lonliness",
completely crowded my inner being.
To the point where I seriously wished for an audience, a congregation,
or a musical with a revolving stage, $18.00 drinks and theatre in the round.
However, later on I yearned for solitude...or maybe only the company of "one"...
..where I could've enjoyed learning of another,
but, most definately learning of myself.
Too bad I'm not one that is easily satiated;
but satisfaction is merely temporary, and over-rated.
For to be complacent would but, put me in the category,
of the raincloud that only wishes to remain dry,
the rainbow with only one color,
or the concerto written with but, one single chord;
bland would be my existence, and boring would be my moniker.
Better for me to acknowledge life's variations,
and to celebrate their different afluences.
Some people believe we're allowed but, a few moments of bliss.
I, however...believe that those moments of bliss,
are allowed to but a few of us.
Those of us who can recognize their value,
savor those moment's uniqueness,
and collect them in baskets full of golden moments,
for sharing those golden moments
are what matters most of all.
When I am allowed to do so,
I always share said moments,
with all of the people that matter in my life.
The same people that share their golden moments with me,
and that gives us a special bond.
People like you, help me not to be afraid to be alone,
remind me to always try and smile with my heart,
and to never forget to be thankful.
Thankful for our closeness,
and thankful for our ability to collect, savor, and share our golden moments.....together.
