Seams Stretch

crusties clad in rags
engineers britches
worn to tread
then patched with
punk rock patches
displaying bands
with names like
Queen Duncan
declarations of
"Oy! Politics!"
resourceful squatters
gathered together
in trespass
disgruntled pawns
lean aways from
obviously oppressive
class "function"
deviants collectively
this arena shared
with Tee-shirt clad
holy minion
Gods Sword Bearers
clutching tracts
printed cleverly
to witness to
sin bonded masses
each holds something
sacred close to them
whether based
on truth or faith
drunk out of a bottle
or read out of a Bible
both likely to share
in excesses

Hi Box..

People get heated when they gather in opposition.. good there was a line. I thought your poem told the story.. you could add to it. That is what is good about being the author...we can change it or not..The last line did seem to need something.. Richard
