Even Trade

As if a merry-go-'round surrounded my heart,
and it's dizziness made it's way up my spine,
so, I would lose my balance.
That would be an even trade.

Walking a chosen pathway
cost me another journey,
down that disgarded path.
But, that too, was an even trade.

I'm much older, now.
I've earned years that gave me knowledge.
But, my innosence faded, like smoke in the wind...
..and somehow, that too was an even trade.

Every choice made,
both deliberately, and unconsciously,
has brought me to my life with you.
And, for that...I wouldn't even trade.

Thanks Mark.

I'm very pleased that this one found "favor" within you. You literally made my day with your kind re-"marks". Thanx again, Doc.
