A Dose Of Reality

My back is against the wallTonight I will somehow tell it allThe voices in my head are loudSorry if I couldn’t make you proudThe crowd is waiting so patientlyMy emotions start acting impatientlyAs they try to grab hold of my penTo take them all too to back thenA yesterday I tried to let go but couldn’tI was just dandy and I thought they wouldn’tStrike at a man who’s done them no harmThey stuck to me like leaches on my armFilling my head with possibilities of humiliationKnowing that I lacked the needed motivationI hid the loudly roaring anger pretty damn wellOh these eyes witnessed the creations of hellAs they tried to cut the thin rope I foundNo man will hear my loud crying soundI must have struck some kind of chordWith somebody who replaced the lordI spoke not with words but with actionsAs I was crucified with their reactionsNo I am no prophet but I am a manWho you can’t stop him from all he canMake a reality or leave as a dreamIf I was done wrong I will scream

May I humbly suggest

that that last line is all wrong. If you were wrong make it an act of defiance, not a victim. And I say again, and with good reason, centred verse does not work unless the lines are very short. cheers, Jess

Paul

Who you can't stop him from all he can? this line seems to stick meaning unclear I'm no prophet ( I think ) no I'm not a prohet might sound more even but I also have to agree with Jess here The centered formatting is awkward and makes ones eyes jump over the page your last line can use some bulking up and more imaopcat as well Chrys
