A STATE OF MIND

They look I stare,
they glance I glare,Void of thought,Running, chasing everything,Gaining nothing, going nowhere,“People”
Passing like trains
Tracking down endless lanes,
Empty space's fill the air,
There is no face-Which haunt my nightmare’s,
my presence, - my shadow,Have fallen from grace,
Time has forgot,
And I'm not there,
Aged,.......raged,
But still encaged, ChainedBlinded by guilt,Blinded by shame,
Feelings numbed,But Still feel pain,
Ghosts haunting; ……. scaring the very depths of my soul,
Today like yesterday,
Tomorrow won't change,
Endless,

Time marches,
They still look,
But I don't stare
I just don't care,
Lights fade colours muted,
Loved left,....and ran out the door,
Tear stained cheeks facing blackened walls,
Cries drowned by Clocks ticking,
I'm sorry for living,
Life isn't forgiving,
Cheated of love,
The holding of hands; ….."But"
Not of mine,
Can death be my release,
Or will I forever –Be running lost,
in these corridors of time.

you want the raw truth?

although this is well written and conveys teenage angst well, that's all it does. Sorry, grew out of this years ago. cheers, Jess

Thanks for your Reply

Hi Jess This isn't a subject that I want to cover in any great depth, Only I haven’t been near any scripted works /arts in years, Just trying to expand the mind, I take the comment on, about teenage angst, unfortunately this type of depression Covers all sorts of age's, my main concern was to convey and deliver a theme, and maintain a flow, I currently try to write by putting myself in another’s shoe’s / situation –trying To convey the mood, Thanks again for your Honest opinion (it's Exactly what is needed) Very Best Regards Peter
