Grit,and Taint

everything I want for me
all that I am without
what would be so special
about a luxury unused?

I cling onto what is left
even though it leaks
things once forgotten
label under character

I count the fragments
sorted by potential  danger
to be reviewed like photos
inserted behind my eye

to deserve such comforts
as a sortable existence
that needs so shakin' off
of particular matters

Not sure what to make of this one David,

I can see a structure in there, that dieing fall in each stanza but somehow it doesn't all come together for me. Can you give me an idea of where you were going with it? cheers, Jess
