One of Those People

Carefully selected letters
from the Garden of your soul,
can form the most beautiful of bouquets,
that anyone would treasure.
Possibly, even "make their day".

Some people inspire me
to pick just the right ones,
to form into words and sentences.
You are one of those people.

There have been other times,
where I've been at a loss for words.
But, that's the result of the shimmering radience,
of a special person's beautiful essence...
..their "aura", as it were.
You are one of those people, too.

So, the next time my words are arranged,
in a way that, speaks to your heart,
like a musical note that pierces your very soul,
know that that collection of letters,
were made possible by someone like you.
Thanks, for being one of those people.

It’s a sweet poem, liked

It's a sweet poem, liked the thought behind it, but I would like to bring up a couple of things. The 2nd half of the 3rd stanza seems to lose it's way a little, for me it's due to the "..." you've used (I must find out the technical name), jsut seems to break up the flow of the piece. Lastly the "note that pierces your very soul" seems a little over dramatic in contrast to the rest of the piece, I think it might be jsut a case of taking out the word "very". But hey, those are just my thoughts, nice work :D Kieran "Mind, how you go!" - Roger McGough's poem for LSD Awareness Week
