Unfed love

A world of turmoil
Hopes and dreams perish
Leaving me hollow

A world of unrest
Trash is what I feel
As disappointment takes over

Cross-country sunset
Shadow hopes and dreams
New day dawns

Was a read worth reading.

Was a read worth reading. Subtle. What exactly do you mean "Cross-country sunset?" I don't quite get that line. The entire stanza (do you call these little haiku-like bits stanzas?) is one of hope, for over it all is nature, the universe or, if you prefer, God; I just don't get the "cross-country" part. This is my failing, by the way, not one of the poem. Very nice piece.
