Father

I have found love

And it is incomprehensible to me

It is like fish communication

Or the distance

Between stars

It frightens me

And father

I feel my own death

In the distance

Like a thousand horizons

In memory

And painted on canvases

Now burned

And cremated

And dust

And father

I miss you

I may never have told you I would

But you knew

Like the answers to my questions

Or even the questions

I had yet to confront...
