Forgotten Silence

Vicious moments of razor silence

They fall away though

And we talk

Or are alone, yet not lonely

And this moment

This diamond moment in time

Seems good, truthful and clean:

We both find peace.

And other times

‘Neath sunlight

We hold hands and laugh

As the clouds swallow the birds

Sol burns up the day

And charred night is filled

With the moans of our vigorous embrace.

And too, with friends

We speak of nothing but the good;

The vicious moments

The razor silence

It is forgotten

Like pain

And life, with love, thrives

Like beautiful song and symphony.

Forgotten Silence

I appreciate the contrast of the silence; especially like the term "razor silence." This is a clean write, but it doesn't leave me with the strong impression that I expected to find associated with the "razor silence." Everything that you are saying is clear, the meaning is there ... but something lacks in emotion on this piece. Best line "As the clouds swallow the birds" - great visual. ~ Ronda
