Sweet Chords And Strings

he lured me in

with heartfelt song

exactly when he

wanted . . . .

seducing me

with woven words

I felt to be

quite daunting.

A country boy

with hypnotic poems

fused on

silver platter

I soon became

his slave, and he

became my master.

this made me smile, Janice

not sure about the ellipse after wanted, I think for me a comma would have sufficed. The pace works GREAT, especially in the line "seducing me with woven words I felt to be quite daunting." Good stuff. Mark W.

Hey Barb

I was actually writing about songwriters, and how they can change your life with music so you are exactly right, a love story between writer and music lover! Thanks for taking the time to read this, and your comment~Janice

That is very true

Barbara Writes I relate to songs very well. Songs changes the negative emotions in me to a positive when it expresses true feelings of love.

Nice work!

There is just something about a man who writes poetry, especially in this day and age. (I'm a sucker for the dark and brooding one, LOL!) Good job. Always, Cat

To be seduced by a songwriter - boy, have I been there! This was cute and demonstrated the magnet a great song can have on a woman's heart. I envision a country singer -maybe because I noticed you liked country songs..and also the overall tone of the piece. Nice work - this was a delightful read.
