The Sun Shines on Thursday
Take heart son,
the sun shines on Thursday,
and in the morning you'll wake up,
yes, take heart.
Take heart,
give love,
and life,
and imagination.
Take heart,
and give a deep sigh.
For on Monday be prepared
to get broken in two,
and on Tuesday live with disappointment.
Take heart on Wednesday,
you're halfway home;
the sun will shine on Thursday.
Have faith boy,
when faith is all you have.
Have intelligence,
when wisdom will suffice.
On Friday wipe your brow,
it's the end of the week,
but be told:
the sun will shine on Thursday.
