ladybird

ladybird, ladybird

must fly away home:

the thief feasts

at orchard;

bald corruption

governs Rome.

Quite the statement

for so few words. True talent shows that sometimes less is more. Thank you for the reminder! ~ Ronda

Thanx

I think it a fascinating paradox that a few words spoken carefully can transcend/eclipse import and meaning sprouting from the same thing said with many ... or more than enough. That fact helps my sun shine brighter than it might otherwise. Yours, Chuck PS: I laugh to think of the common phrase "Enough said." Usually when it's used, more than enough was said.

This is quite accurate of

This is quite accurate of todays political corruption. I enjoyed the simplicity of such a strong statement gently delivered. Always, Cat

WOW

What an exceptional poem! Very classic, literally classic or classically influenced. Shelly, Byron, Wordsworth...would have been proud of this poem. Thank you my friend for posting it, I am enriched by the reading. -DS Baker

Your Welcome

The picture you mentioned, is one that I shot just outside of a little town in Central Nevada called Goldfield. You are looking due east along the abandoned rail bed for the very old Las Vegas, Tonopah and Reno Rail Road. I have a whole collection of shots in a similar vein, from when I worked in Central Nevada as a newspaper reporter for the Tonopah Times Bonanza and Goldfield News...Two of the oldest newspapers in the state. Peace my brother! -DS Baker
