The beauty of colour

A sea of Columbines,Hepaticas and Bluebells;
a garden of Monkshoods,Tearoses and many a Gladiolus;
a Crownimperial,Tulip,Daffodil,Dahlia and Hibiscus:
affecting senses like scattered gales.

A parade of wrens,buntings and cuckoos;
the beauty of unexplored marshes!
The Venus of Milo,Picassos;and the red of an apple;
in the fall:the bright yellow of Aspens,
glowing red of Sumacs and Wahoos;
red,orange and gold of Marple:
beauty that every tender emotion sharpens!

The beauty of Colour

There is such vivid colour depicted in the poem. It makes one's senses alert. I enjoyed the poem Thanks, Jeanette

Hi slybard...

The font size is very distracting..it does not help the poem for me..it looks as though you were going for a parade of color and it is that but...it doesn't say anything..it seems like it is not finished to me..but it is colorful. these are just my opioions.

The overly large font is

The overly large font is completely distracting, and for me, unreadable. I had to cut and paste it into notebook to separate line from line. I think it ruins the effect of your lovely words. Presentation can make or break a poem. Another thing, except for at the ends of lines, unless preceeding another line, punctuation requires a space after it. Always, Cat
