Feed the Love
Imagination trumps intelligence,
and creativity hits the genius mark,
leading the separated few
towards a light from within the dark;
where Hope becomes the timber
that burns from Worry's spark.
It's difficult to stimulate
what has obviously never been,
and having no inspiration
is like never knowing a friend;
or even worse, a lover
without any time to spend.
For owning, barely, just enough
imagination...to yield Doubt,
will extinguish Love's fragile flame
leaving both involved, without;
a direction, a destination,
a companion, or a Route.
So worrying about True Love
fades the Truth from all that's said,
replacing all the Hopes and Dreams
with a Spirit that's both Dry, and Dead;
for even a Love that's growing strong
must be coddled and then Spoonfed.
