Spat of Christ

christ
spat in my face
annoyed
that i had made
a judas like move
on mary magdalene

shocked
and stunned
I failed to react

was this
how a son of god
should react

i felt
wounded and hurt
as i
slowly
made my way
to the local
kebab house

were they
refused
to serve me
because
i was dripping blood
due to the poxy stigmatas
that the christ
had wished on me

and
the ironic thing
was
mary was a terrible lover
so i lost on both counts
hell and bad sex
now i'm off to the bookies

Strangely juvenile this

Strangely juvenile this piece, it is as if a teenager were wanting to shock an older generation with their language while only succeeding in stringing some silly thoughts together while attacking the usual iconic figures. This time Christ and other biblical characters. I have to say it feels contrived and altogether unconvincing. All the best eric

Something Called

HUMOUR !!! Or at least it is were I come from. This piece is inspired by the BBC Dark Comedy "League of Gentlemen", hence your comment of juvenile, which can be a positive vent in these days were religion can be thrust in our faces by muslim and christian factions. As for silly thoughts I take my hat off to the wonderful SPIKE MILLIGAN, an inspiration! Eric my fine piece of poetry is neither contrived or unconvincing ! I love it !!! Kind regards and thanks for dropping in !!! LoC
