Song of the Ocean

I search for you always

red setting sun

streaks of pink and purple

in the blue sky

The ocean glows

in the twilight

I hear the song

of the ocean

I love you - never

stopped loving you

never stopped missing you

and all the wonderful

time we share

Grey is the ocean

in the twilight

Golden sands

now glow pink

Seas merge

below the mountains

all disappears

into the blackness

Hi Cat well whereas I am here in the UK and my fellow who is overthere we have precous moments such as walking by the ocean and midnight picnics Ha! So back here my mind wanders to the ocean where i walk alone but not alone here in the UK wishing i was overthere with my guy. So moments that last forever and on permanent recall I just love water when it is raging in a storm or on a tranquil sunny day also in the moonlight it takes on a different mood so full of questions i ask of it to send my message of love to my love when the waves return to his shore. I know i am getting all mushy Mmmmm..... love and hugs maggie getting to know a few other poets now thanks so much still trying to find my way around. xx

Song of the Ocean

Hi Ronda Well my friend I just love water in all seasons tranquil as on a summer afternoon or a raging torent and in the moonlight I walk the sea shore alone longing to be with my true love real soon. Moments we have shared by the ocean a special witness to our special union a midnight picnic so many secrets held in each crash of the waves. Well I miss my man and when I walk by the ocean I am transported and with my love again. I find great serentiy and peace the ocean sings to my heart and soul soon to be with my true love again hugs maggie

Song of the ocean

Hi Chrys I just love the ocean in all seasons re a walk on a sumers day when it is still and tranquill and also when it is raging but best of all in the moonlight with my love. I miss him so I walk along the sea shore with my memories soon be together again. My love and I walk by the sea shore we have midnight picnics The ocean witnesses out special union and keep secrets in the waves When I walk near the ocean it sings to my heart well getting mushy Ha! hugs Maggie

I can picture the scene perfectly Maggie.....like you i am always drawn to the ocean, especially when the sun is rising or going down. It never fails to evoke deep feelings and memories. Really enjoyed the poem. Just a small point, your past tense suggested that the person whose memory this evoked in you was no longer around, but then in the last line of the same verse you use the present tense "share" rather than the past "shared"? Song of the ocean

Hi Professor Well I just love water from all sources. A stream on a sunny afternoon so still and tranquil the ocean when it is raging in all its glory and even better in the moonlight walking by the ocean with my love and we have midnight picnics.But with my love being there and me being here i miss him so - so when walking by the ocean my heart wonders to the ocean there so our love is transported through the waves from shore to shore as he too walks by the ocean to receive my love so that is why it is past and present. Hope to visiting my love real soon for more trips to the ocean well just joined this site so still trying to find my way around be patient
