The Journey

A journey completed,

A mountain crossed,

A desert so hot,

I spent my time lost,

A jungle so green,

Lush and deep,

In a high tree branch,

Is where I did sleep,

The ice was the worse,

So cold you could cry,

I almost thought I'd say goodbye,

The swamps,oh the swamps,

Are where I always come back to,

This maze of beauty my home,

My life's journey is over and through.

the journey

So much of your work has resonated with me that I must be honest and tell you that this one just doesn't have that power. This doesn't mean that it might not appeal to a different audience, of course. There's always a few pieces that just don't fit with some readers. Taking the rest of your work into consideration, I can say without a doubt that there will be more from you that I do enjoy. ~ Ronda

I didn't get chills from this one either, just didn't have the heart i guess.Thank you for your honesty. Lacy, Where power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
