this falsely rugged tray

ready to serve the world

still to be a metal

I like what you have done here with your wording, great. I also relate to this poem as I used to work in a pewter factory,I enjoyed the read. If I never saw the sunshine, I wouldn't mind the rain (Beth Orton)

Yes, I liked this. Its clarity and brevity make it stand out. I would have liked a second subject associated with the main observation. Bringing the personal into a poem like this adds more depth to it. Good poeming eric

Low grade metal

Pewter has such an ambiguous image of being both low grade and weak on the one hand but of representing down to earth realism on the other. This is a rather short but nevertheless pithy and well written piece. Keith
