Over and Over, and Over Again

It's a space and time continuum
or an unnatural brain-freeze,
it can be a five minute period
that takes an hour and a half to pass,
or a two hour movie that's over too fast.

A two month vacation that seems like two years,
or everytime you've said, "what did he say?"
and you were right there.....listening.......supposedly.

It will be that voice you heard in the wind...
..or the shadow that dances in the light of the noon day sun.
Theses things happen...over and over, and over again.
Jimi Hendrix wrote a song abou it,
but, that was when it was called Manic Depression.

Now, it's hipper to call it, "bi-polar disease".
The same amount of syllables...but I don't wanna be a "bi-anything"!
Yeah.....give me the old school, "MD",

 ..the "Mad dog".....the "Manically Depressive".
I know folks who are depressed...and it's quite sad.
The people that I know to be manic, are spacy..........but, very interesting.
But, being both at the same time?
That's too, too much!

That makes one want to pick out a feeling,
a feeling one can tolerate...
and then induce it, over and over, and over again!

Until you like, or truly LOVE that feeling.
That's why manic depressive's take their medicine...
or share a propensity to drink...
..their friends, families, and aquaintences.....under the table;
over and over, and over again.

Call it what it is, folks.
It's not alcoholism...
..it's "manic depression"!

Over and Over

Your title is appropriate, I feel like my head is spinning a little after reading this! It's a little disjointed, but you were probably going for that, considering the subject matter. There are probably a few things I'd change, but nothing drastic enough to mention. I actually had to laugh a couple of times when you hit a personal note right on key. All over the board, but done with unique style! ~ Ronda
