Guilty Sonnet

Why is it standing there? This dark burningWith leering eyes peering deep in my soulSomehow, someway, this feeling, it’s turningIt is wildly spinning out of controlThis sudden dark feeling, I can’t ignoreHow can someone have this cold desire? As it burns and start to take flight and soarIt grows into a scorching black fireI tell you it’s not my fault! Or was it?No! I was forever right all alongI cannot be, won’t be, the cause of itSo how can you tell me that I was wrong?Perhaps there is a lesson to be learnedWhy are my thoughts plagued with fire that burns?
