today and tommorow

the river banks are afresh

anew,the pinching sun that

baked its sands and thresh

upon the thin claws of a cat

are waiting,and fresh

channels are there to create

and scatter vast,and replenish

the sizeless shoe trampled road

is darkened again,faded,have

all the effect of shoes, but coat

the rubber sole with more rubber

and polish the goat-skin with more goat

and leather,to hasten better

along the ring cross-road
