Night Stalk

In the darkness is where I roam
The darkest shadows I call my home
I see you walking through my space
Behind the shadow I hide my face
My eyes follow you as you pass me by
Tonight is the night that you will die
I follow you now through the night
Matching your steps till the time is right
I reach for you with a slow, steady pace
Now I see the horror in you face
Your eyes meet mine and you know your fate
You try to scream, but it's too late
I feel you pulse quicken as I hold you tight
"ssshhh it's ok, it will be alright"
I look into you eyes as you succumb
Your body goes limp as you go numb
I feel you life as it drains into me
I'll take your blood, your soul is free

well done

I sure hope you are writing from imagination and not experience. This poem is well written , quite horrifying but very descriptive. I think you have succeeded in getting the imagery and overall tension that was intended across Chrys

I’m sorry but I didn’t

I'm sorry but I didn't like it, the whole thing just made me feel uneasy, and not in an exciting way. I think this more than anything shows ow different thinking something is and actually writing it. Kieran "Mind, how you go!" - Roger McGough's poem for LSD Awareness Week
