Our Voice

Sit Back
Open You Eyes And Your Mind
Read My Word
What Will You Find

Your Freedom Was Given To You By Whom
Not "the Founding Fathers"
You Received It In The Womb

For Some Reason We Are Taught
Not To Have Individual Thought
Do As You're Told And All Is Well
Break The Mold And You Will Unleash Hell

Why Do We Have To Fight To Be Free
When That's The Way We're Born
Both You And Me

For Just One Day I Would Like To See
Real Freedom
Not What We Have Been Led To Believe

Maybe One Day We Will All Stand Tall
Make Our Voice Heard
The Big And The Small

Maybe someday

we will stand tall, Not to have individual thought,, that line is excellent and so very true also.... the structure here is great.. flow is very good not forced.. this drew me in and kept me there to the end.. Enjoyed...BrownEyesBlue

I am glad

to be thinking freely in the good 'ole USA than anywhere else. There is no responsibility with what we think only rather what we do. Maybe that is why we write what we freely think? But even then things hapen because of what we write - hopfully good. Nice Job One, Mark

Hi one...

I like your poem, it has a very strong message...the caps I found a little distracting.
