Trust In Him

I walk alone through the desert sand
All I own is in my hand
The sun beats down upon my head
I almost think I'd be better off dead

Nowhere to go in this desolate place
Slow and steady my only pace
I see the heat rise up from the ground
I feel the weight of the sand pulling me down

Why does it all have to end this way
I still have so much to say
It seems as though my time has run out
I ask myself why do I doubt

I put my trust in God above
I really only need His love
He is the only one who truly knows me
He is the one who can set me free

Great poem!

This is something I struggle with daily....... It is good to hear his reassurance through someone else's perspective. God bless, Mark

I found this poem quite

I found this poem quite tiring to read, like a trudge through sand, so that was pulled off well...I didn't even realise that. However it's not the kind of poem I like to read, I found it predictable. Improvements I could suggest are to write about what is in your hand, that was intruiging! Kieran "Mind, how you go!" - Roger McGough's poem for LSD Awareness Week
