A Father' Love

We have all read about a mother's love for her pride

I want to give you another side

I am a father who loves his son

Helped him walk and watched him run

From the time of his birth I felt my life change

So many things to re arrange

Up all night with bottles and walks

Sitting in a chair with little baby talks

I would love to still have those days

But life has changed in so many ways

Three years ago my son passed away

I've lost my life ever since that day

I will always hold the memories near

Until the time I am taken from here

I pray that day will be filled with joy

I'll finally be back with my little boy

I can remeber the pain in my father's eyes on that day...it lingers still but I try not to look. It feels as if I maybe trespassing on holy ground. Your words have brought that day back and all I can say is that I am sorry... "For every shadow, no matter it's depth, is threatened by the morning's light..." <3 Emarie

A Father's Love

I think this was a sorrowful, yet moving piece! Do you think your son would like you to be sorrowful, or would he like you to enjoy life after this tragedy? Food for thought, I know you must miss him terribly! Nicely written, ONE
