Footprints Lead the Way

Crumble not, your memories,

adhere them to your heart.

for when Time has measured your existance,

they'll be all you have.

So.....taint them not, with personal bias.

Instead, let them age in a wine of dignity,

so that all may count on your recollections...

..to help clarify their love of the history of you.

So you can share the same page...

..limiting descrepencies.

Help preserve your integrity,

so embarassments will be few,

and you will be an example.

Not necessarily for your legacy.....but for theirs...

..and the children of the future.

For your life is not in your posession.

It's one that belongs to all.

All who have a propensity to focus,

and to fashion their lives.....after you.

Hopefully.....preserving the footprints, that lead their way.
