The Necklace

Jewels encased in silver

are all I have left

of you.

They lay across my heart

and shimmer

as I move.

God walked my babes

to heaven

as I lay praying

at his feet.

Peace adorns

my soul,

when silver strands

and jewels meet.

Beautiful

The little thoughts and experiences that make us write often produce the most fantastic pieces. You definitely expanded this thought into a beautiful tribute. ~ Ronda

this is a

very enigmatic, sign-on-the-highway type of poem which points to something cherished, lost, and somehow regained in the very process of lost. mysterious and compelling. good job!

Very sad

A very sad story of the lost children, but I'm so glad that her jewels were found! Nice job. Cat
