she wore her burka white with lipstick
So many ways
to watch them
The pages,
so that the fires
get colored
ink
reminding me all of the world
is still there
there are tvs
lined up in restaurants
newsflash after commericals
after countless interruptions,
of what we are.
of that growing.
and me left with no
way to speak back
to leave a hello
between now
and the next blast
of schrapnel that is more flesh
than car,
of scraps and cloth
and voices who are always
ready.
