My Music

There's music in my heart, today.

Beautiful, wondrous music.

So great are the melodies,

and so gentle are the harmonics

that I cannot help but smile.

Have you ever felt like that?

So bold is this invisible, vaporous shroud...

..that it swallows me.

Laying all my concerns down to rest.

The tune is hauntingly familiar,

yet as fresh and new as the first snowflake of winter.

It takes my soul's hand

and leads me on.

To a destination that I both yearn to go,

but am wary of going alone.

But I am safe.

For the tune is one that I'm sure of...

..and I relax, as the music fills me up.

Hopefully this music is here to stay,

but happy is my soul,

that it chose to visit me even this once.

It's beauty overwhelms me,

because it is striking the chord that is deep inside of me,

that chord that is mine and mine, alone.

Just as different music can do for others.

I hope you feel this feeling,

someday.

I am so jealous.

I can only create through words and images, music does not come to me. When I write I need complete silence, no music or tele in the background. Don't get me wrong, music can and often does transport me, but it's not part of my creative fabric. cheers, Jess
