A Grating Rivalry

Fridge and furnace blip

themselves off, bringing

Clock tick-tocks---and beginnings

of Plumbrook Road's

Whooshing whish-whish

rush-hour noises---to

Current der Vordergrund,

in grating rivalry with

Wall-to-wall throaty

backyard birdly ...

a cappellas.

A veritable onomatopoeic

A veritable onomatopoeic chorus my friend - and the final sum is [of course] much greater than the sum of the parts. You handle brevity with such adroitness. I closed my eyes and smiled with relief

your poetry is such a delight, poignant and true without a trace of triteness, something to say without preaching, sometimes it is hard work commenting on poems on this site, running the line between helpful and cruel, you need nothing like those dilemmas, your work stands outstandingly alone, but not lonely, cheers, Jess
