In Between Invisible Meteorites

reeling
in shock
and pain

my inner world

has been
devastated
by an
unexpected and
monstrous

emotional meteorite

here I am
locked
in a
neverworld
somewere
between
day
and
night

my face
is caressed
by an
unforgiving
and cold
brutal darkness

my heart beats
in slow
slow
slow motion
my heart
is a volcano
of erupting pain
and uncertainty

my shadow
laughs at me
amused to hysteria
by my
pathetic sight

and the miles
the miles
they stretch beyond
infinities memories

every breath
cuts deep
deep into my soul
and I am baptised
in my own
self pity

Well…honestly…I think

Well...honestly...I think the way you seperated single sentences into a few lines stop-started the flow of the poetry...A lot of the words and metaphors you use evoke quite good imagry but some words a little bit...im not sure how to explain it...clumsy? eg. the phrase "unexpected and mounstrous emotional meteorite" it sounded...in stead of sounding heart-rending it sounded clumsy. Great idea though!

I like

the poem, but agree with your comments. As a first draft its ok, now cometh the interesting work of reconstruction! Lenny
