The Lady Gwen
I sit alone.....waiting
enjoying the quiet that is,
and my thoughts turn towards Lady Gwen;
and I smile as I remember.
Hers was not an easy journey.
The thorn in her foot impeded her balance.
and I weep for Lady Gwen.
I mourn alone.....waiting
and the light steed charges the horizon...
bringing yet, another day without the Lady Gwen;
and I recall the dance that we did share,
and the winds of fortune were at our backs.
That day we shared of the folly,
and I'm glad for Lady Gwen.
I stand alone.....waiting
enjoying the season that is,
and feeling better about Lady Gwen.
She rests while we still toil.
The table is set for a banquet in her honor,
and there is a place set for me.
How I miss the Lady Gwen.
