That Kid Shouldn't....

run so fast that he falls down

or be with those other kids

rough and unrefined like he is

stay up past eight or sleep

past seven that would be

a very lazy habit to start

climb up into that tall tree

like those other kids do

climbing about without a care

funny how I

was really on my own as a kid or for the most part anyhow. It was not until I really started speaking my mind that I was told not to learn from friends. I think I learned more from friends then even my own parents but the things I did learn from my parents were of most impact - IMPACT ! I suppose I was lucky there were "others" so for a while I had the joy of exploring my enviroment. Thought provoking David, very. Mark L

Psh.

The way the lines flow and the lack of punctuation - I really think that adds to the worth of this poem. It's pretty easy to relate to as I'm sure we've all been through the phase that this poem describes. Nice work. - Gil

Insulated kids yea we have all been there and wished the parents loosened up,and then there are the times we wished the parents had held us back. In ink, Dabbler
