In the Dead of Winter

In the dead of winter

The ice fell from heaven

The silent wind rested on the seas arching waves

The patterns in grey skies are mirrors to my eyes

In the early morning

The ground was the only thing below me

The night before

We walked until we were lost and then walked more

In the dead of night

You took my breath beneath the chandelier

Of stars and atmosphere

And your taste lingers on my lips

Like the poison I craved so long ago

The dark and light of it...

is captured well in this piece. Very nice effort. I have found over time that working, reworking a piece too much does not make it better, so just let it flow. First thoughts capture the moment the best in most cases I have found, but that's just me, so in the end do what works best for you. :) Patrick/AO

A very satisfying read: high

A very satisfying read: high drama couched in graceful imagery and replete with vivid descritions. Most enjoyable. Mike "Bethlehem" by Meic See more of my art? please visit: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7911705@N07
